Consultant Clinical Oncologist – Sarcoma

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Consultant Clinical Oncologist to join our team at University College London Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust.

This is a unique opportunity to work with a world-class service and a multidisciplinary team delivering excellent care and committed to research.

Main Responsibilities
  • Provide comprehensive care for patients with soft tissue and bone sarcomas, as well as gastrointestinal stromal tumours.
  • Work collaboratively with a team of medical, clinical, and paediatric oncologists to deliver high-quality patient care.
  • Contribute to research and development in the field of oncology, with a focus on sarcoma.
  • Participate in clinical audit and quality improvement initiatives to ensure the highest standards of care.

Requirements
  • On GMC Specialist Register for Oncology or within six months of attaining CCT.
  • MRCP or equivalent.
  • FRCR or equivalent.
  • Higher degree (MD, PhD or equivalent).
Clinical Experience
  • Comprehensive clinical experience in clinical oncology.
  • Experience in sarcoma.
  • Experience of working in a multidisciplinary team.
Clinical Skills
  • Management of all aspects of care for patients undergoing palliative chemotherapy.
  • Advanced communications skills.
Audit Management & IT
  • Experience of management/leadership roles.
  • Understanding of governance and clinical audit requirements.
  • Experience in organising clinical audit.
  • Participation in quality improvement projects within oncology.
