Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to analyze equipment performance and identify potential failure points.
  • Conduct detailed root cause analyses to understand equipment malfunctions and develop effective solutions.
  • Implement predictive maintenance strategies to optimize equipment efficiency and reduce downtime.
  • Develop and manage maintenance schedules to ensure consistent equipment reliability.
  • Utilize advanced condition monitoring techniques to track machinery health and take proactive measures.
  • Lead efforts to integrate reliability-centered maintenance practices across the production process.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives by identifying opportunities to enhance processes and procedures.
  • Work in a team environment, coordinating and supporting the response to operational issues.
  • Consult with internal technical experts, vendors, or outside consultants when shop visits and repair oversight are required.
  • Identify and translate technical problems into business risk or opportunities.
  • Scope improvement projects, including management of change activities.
  • Support organizational learning by developing/updating procedures and participating in technician training.

Qualifications:

  • A degree in Mechanical Engineering or similar level of experience.
  • Proven experience in Mechanical Engineering, preferably within the manufacturing sector.
  • Familiarity with predictive and preventive maintenance methodologies.
  • Proficiency in reliability tools such as Root Cause Analysis (RCA), Failure Modes and Effects Analysis (FMEA), and condition monitoring techniques.
  • Proficient with basic computer software (Microsoft Office).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail.

Estimated Salary: $85,000 - $120,000 per year, depending on qualifications and experience. This salary estimate is based on national averages for mechanical engineers in the United States.
