Roku's Cloud Technology Vision

Roku is revolutionizing the way the world watches TV, and we're looking for a seasoned leader to help us power every television in the world. As a key member of our Cloud Technology & Infrastructure team, you'll be responsible for building platforms that enable our cloud engineering organization to scale and innovate.

Our Application hosting platform, built on Kubernetes and Istio, addresses scalability, multi-region hosting, multi-cloud hosting, and nuances of deployment. We're seeking a Director of Cloud Technology & Infrastructure who will lead our platform engineering organization and continue to build a world-class team of platform engineers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the platform engineering organization and build a world-class team of platform engineers
  • Attract, inspire, and retain top talent across the US, UK, and India
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive innovation and system architecture
  • Develop and implement strategic plans to drive business growth and success

Requirements:

  • 10+ years of experience in a strategic engineering leadership role, with a proven track record of success
  • Strong architectural abilities and experience with Gitlab, Artifactory, Docker, Terraform, CI/CD, and cloud providers
  • Deep knowledge of one cloud provider (AWS or GCP) and working knowledge of another
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent work experience
