Job Summary

Campden BRI's Sensory Testing Services are seeking a highly skilled and experienced individual to support the Sensory Project Manager and the wider Descriptive Panel with projects and training. The successful candidate will be responsible for deputizing for the Panel Leader with all practical and administrative aspects of running descriptive projects, including panel facilitation and training sessions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the Sensory Project Manager and the Descriptive Panel with projects and training
  • Deputize for the Panel Leader with all practical and administrative aspects of running descriptive projects
  • Become proficient in the use of Compusense sensory data collection software
  • Prepare samples safely using good food hygiene practices for assessment by the Panel
  • Coordinate sample receipt and organize purchase, storage, and preparation of panel training and reference samples
  • Support the Panel Leader with compilation of technical reports, including data analysis
  • Support other Sensory Insights teams and projects as required

Requirements

  • Degree in Food Science or Technology or previous experience within a sensory science role and/or laboratory environment
  • Completion of the 'One Day Introduction to Sensory Analysis' course and '4 Day Sensory Evaluation Workshop' or equivalents
  • Broad knowledge of multiple food categories
  • Proficient in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
