About the Role

We are seeking an exceptional individual to lead the education and development of student midwives within our maternity services. As a Clinical Placement Facilitator, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that our student midwives receive high-quality clinical training and education.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the education and development of student midwives within maternity services
  • Work collaboratively with the Practice Development Midwife and the Whipps education team to ensure clinical teaching is of the highest standard
  • Deliver lectures and presentations to student midwives and midwifery staff
  • Support midwives in facilitating student learning in practice
  • Organize and facilitate teaching sessions for student midwives

Requirements
  • NMC registered midwife
  • First degree qualification
  • 997/998 mentorship/Practice Assessor/ Practice Supervisor
  • Experience of working with and supporting student midwives
  • Coordination of practice placements or rota management
  • Management/coordination of a team
  • Teaching and assessment of students in practice
  • Able to organize and facilitate teaching sessions
