We are looking for an Electrical Systems Specialist to join our team. As a skilled Panel Wirer, you will play a crucial role in assembling and wiring advanced electrical control panels, ensuring high performance and reliability across our range of specialized vehicles.

The ideal candidate will have previous experience in a similar role and possess strong skills in panel wiring and assembly. They will be meticulous, possess a strong attention to detail, and demonstrate commitment to quality at every stage of the process.

This is a full-time, permanent position working Monday to Friday, with a salary of £14.00 - £17.00 per hour (dependent on experience). Located in Yate, Bristol, this opportunity offers a dynamic and fast-paced work environment with a close-knit, family-run team.

The key responsibilities of the Electrical Systems Specialist include:

  • Assembling electro-mechanical systems to industry standards
  • Wiring and assembling control panels, switchgear, and power distribution boards (PDBs), IFM panels, and ERBs
  • Preparing and crimping cables, cutting wire, and handling heavy electrical components
  • Accurately interpreting wiring diagrams and single-line drawings
  • FOLLOWING ASSEMBLY INSTRUCTIONS USING TECHNICAL DOCUMENTATION
  • Marking out panels, and cutting/drilling steelwork using power tools as needed
  • Carefully handling company assets, tools, and equipment
  • Planning and laying out back panels and enclosures with precision
  • MOUNTING COMPONENTS AND ROUTING WIRE BUNDLES NEATLY TO MEET INDUSTRY STANDARDS
  • Wire relays, PLCs, I/O modules, VFDs, interfaces, and instrumentation point-to-point
  • Troubleshooting and resolving wiring issues and component malfunctions
  • Documenting and marking up changes on drawings as needed during fabrication
  • Programming PLCs when necessary
