Proud to Care Devon is a leading provider of care services, dedicated to delivering high-quality support to individuals in their own homes. We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Personal Care Assistant Day Shift to join our team.
Job Description:
This is an excellent opportunity to develop your skills and expertise in care and support. As a Personal Care Assistant Day Shift, you will be responsible for providing high-quality care and support to enable service users to live independently. Your duties will include promoting independence, enabling daily living tasks, responding to emergencies, and performing domestic duties.
Key Responsibilities:
- Promote independence and enable service users to undertake daily living tasks.
- Respond to emergencies where appropriate/required.
- Aiding with personal care such as dressing/undressing, bathing, eating, toileting/continence care, and nail care.
- Assisting service users with mobility such as turning and positioning in bed/chair and transferring.
- Ensure all records are kept up to date and filled in correctly.
- Report any concerns to the appropriate person.
- Attend appointments with service users.
- Domestic duties such as cleaning rooms, cleaning windows, cleaning toilets, mopping floors, cleaning communal areas, ironing, and attending to laundry.
Working Patterns:
The successful candidate will work 4 shifts per week, consisting of 2 days and 2 sleep-in shifts. Part-time shifts are also available. The salary for this role is £21,000 - £26,000 per annum, depending on experience. We offer competitive benefits, including paid training and opportunities for career development.
