Shift Pattern: 4 on 4 off, 12 hours shift, 42 hours per week
At ABM, we're committed to delivering exceptional facility services that enhance the spaces and places that matter most. As a Security Officer, you'll play a vital role in ensuring the safety and security of our clients' premises and assets.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct regular patrols of the premises to deter and detect any signs of intrusion or unauthorized entry
- Monitor and control access points, including checking identification and issuing visitor passes
- Operate and maintain security systems, including surveillance cameras and alarms
- Respond to alarms and incidents promptly and appropriately, including performing first aid if required
- Write detailed reports on incidents, accidents, and suspicious activities
- Collaborate with local law enforcement and emergency services when necessary
- Provide excellent customer service to visitors and employees, assisting with inquiries and directing them as needed
Requirements:
- Previous experience as a Security Officer or in a similar role
- Strong knowledge of security procedures and protocols
- Valid SIA license
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent observation and problem-solving skills
- Ability to handle and defuse conflict situations with professionalism
- Physically fit and able to stand for long periods of time
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays
