Job Title: Security Officer

We are seeking a highly skilled and vigilant Security Officer to join our team at ABM UK. As a Security Officer, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safety and security of our clients' premises and assets.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct regular patrols of the premises to detect and deter any signs of intrusion or unauthorized entry
  • Monitor and control access points, including checking identification and issuing visitor passes
  • Operate and maintain security systems, including surveillance cameras and alarms
  • Respond to alarms and incidents promptly and appropriately, including performing first aid if required
  • Write detailed reports on incidents, accidents, and suspicious activities
  • Collaborate with local law enforcement and emergency services when necessary
  • Provide excellent customer service to visitors and employees, assisting with inquiries and directing them as needed
Requirements:
  • Previous experience as a Security Officer or in a similar role
  • Strong knowledge of security procedures and protocols
  • Valid SIA license
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent observation and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to handle and defuse conflict situations with professionalism
  • Physically fit and able to stand for long periods of time
  • Flexibility to work various shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays
