Job Description

We are seeking an experienced IT Infrastructure Leader to join our team in the UK.

About the Role

This is a challenging opportunity for a seasoned IT professional to lead the day-to-day operations of our IT services and drive the delivery of high-quality solutions to support our business objectives.

The successful candidate will have a proven track record of managing IT infrastructure, including computer hardware, software systems, and data centre management. They will be responsible for supervising IT support staff, ensuring the smooth running of our IT systems across the business, and providing expert technical guidance to the team.

This role requires a confident individual with excellent interpersonal skills, able to communicate effectively with people at all levels, both technically and non-technically.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage and provide all levels of IT Technical support, from user admin tasks to setting up and installing new office kit globally.
  • Liaise with the Business, building positive working relationships with office Partners & Directors.
  • Coordinating with functional teams and overseeing the day-to-day running of all IT systems across the business to ensure they are working effectively.
  • Call logging & management, including regular liaison with IT hardware maintenance provider and other 3rd party IT suppliers/contractors.
  • Developing, managing and delivering Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
  • Responsible for the IT helpdesk environment, its performance, efficiency and high service standards.
  • Developing Technical standards, including adherence to Change Management processes.
  • Monitoring of daily backups.
  • Management of the asset database and software register.
  • Out of hours monitoring and support.
  • Maintaining a quality IT service by establishing and enforcing organisation standards.
  • Introducing and developing innovative ways of working/troubleshooting to identify issues and reduce downtime.
  • Managing the IT Support staff and function, developing and supporting the team.
  • Accomplishing IT Support staff results by communicating; supporting, coaching, monitoring, appraising, counselling, and enforcing systems, policies, and procedures.
  • Organising the support team to provide a high level of user support based on principles of first time fix.
  • Monitoring support calls, identifying trends and gaps and taking appropriate steps to improve the quality of service delivery.
  • Working closely with departmental managers to determine the ongoing support requirements.
  • Organising support, troubleshooting, and repair for IT equipment and networks.
  • Coordinating training and orientation for new technology and helping the support team become familiar with the IT environment.
  • Designing, developing, implementing and coordinating systems, policies and procedures.
  • Ensuring security of data, network access and backup systems.
  • Identifying problematic areas and implementing strategic solutions in time.

Duties will vary and be revised due to the nature of the IT Support environment.

A competitive salary in excess of £60,000 per annum is offered, depending on experience, plus benefits.
