Job Title: Apprentice Production Manager

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Production Manager to join our team at Resourcing Partnership Ltd. The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating and managing the timely manufacture of quality products to defined targets and by the efficient use of resources available.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Organize the day-to-day production schedule for all manufacturing business units to achieve targets defined by day-to-day sales, transport windows, and other customer requirements.
  2. Produce products that meet both company and customer quality and quantity standards.
  3. Ensure that all plants are operating at maximum speed and efficiency, and provide appropriate training to Production Team Leaders and Production Operators.
  4. Ensure that all necessary materials and resources are available in good time for use in the production process.
  5. Ensure that all working practices are in line with company procedures on cleanliness, and maintain a clean and tidy shop floor and site at all times.
  6. Provide support to ensure that Production Team Leaders and Production Operators continually improve in performance.
  7. Appraise employee performance using the formal performance management system to ensure that employees are trained and continually developed.
  8. Maintain conformance with company rules and regulations.
  9. Ensure that production teams are aware of and committed to targets on both a daily and longer-term basis.
  10. Communicate with the General Manager on a daily basis regarding operational performance and order completion times.
  11. Identify and develop training plans for employees under your management, and ensure that necessary training is effectively carried out in a timely manner.
  12. Undertake any training required by the business to maintain continuous professional development and broaden your skill and knowledge base.
  13. Ensure adherence to statutory regulations and legislation that affect the manufacture of food.
  14. Ensure adherence to company systems and procedures with regard to paperwork, training, etc.
  15. Be part of the company's Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point (HACCP) team.

Requirements:

  1. An analytical and detailed approach to problem-solving.
  2. Solid production planning knowledge and experience.
  3. Hands-on management experience in a similar food manufacturing environment.
  4. Demonstrable employee development skills.
  5. Strong Microsoft Office skills.
  6. Excellent communication skills.
  7. A self-starter attitude who is comfortable working on their own initiative.
