We are seeking a highly skilled Health and Safety Specialist to join our team at Contechs. As a leading recruitment consultancy, we are committed to providing exceptional service to our clients and candidates.
About the Role
The successful candidate will be responsible for participating in investigations to facilitate closure of identified non-conformances and training teams on quality investigation procedures. They will also ensure appropriate risk assessments are conducted and follow-ups implemented to minimize or eliminate accidents or asset losses.
Key Responsibilities
- Participate in investigations to identify root causes of non-conformances and develop corrective actions.
- Conduct risk assessments to identify potential hazards and implement controls to mitigate risks.
- Develop and implement training programs to enhance health and safety awareness and knowledge among teams.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to drive a safety-perfect culture and promote behavioral safety.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards.
Requirements
- Knowledge of Environmental Management Systems and experience working with governing bodies.
- Strong process management and business application skills.
- Ability to build relationships with key stakeholders and peers.
- Effective communication, presentation, and training skills.
- Technical functional excellence in Health and Safety.
Preferred Qualifications
- Demonstrated ability to develop passion, understanding, and capability for functional agenda in others.
- Strong change management skills.
- Understanding of CDM and project management skills.
- Experience in auditing ISO 14001 and 18001 standards.
- Knowledge of Process Safety Management.
