About the Role:



We are seeking an experienced Regional Operations Manager to join our team, responsible for overseeing the day-to-day running of energy centres across the Scottish region. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in project management, with experience in delivering projects safely, on time, and within budget.



Key Responsibilities:


  • Lead and manage work winning meetings/tenders with estimating, design, and commercial staff to ensure proposals are produced on schedule and result in successful outcomes.
  • Identify innovative solutions for the winning of work and delivery of projects utilising tools such as smart modelling and off-site manufacturing alongside supply chain engagement.
  • Attend and lead pre-contract and contract review meetings in conjunction with senior commercial staff.
  • Understand the contract and client requirements for performance and delivery of the projects.
  • Approve and maintain inspection and test plans, commissioning programmes.
  • Ensure O&M manuals are produced and issued in accordance with the project requirements.
  • Manage project teams in ensuring that project viability is maintained.
  • Attend site meetings and produce contract status reports.
  • Review systems and methods, changing and modifying when required to improve contract performance.
  • Engage with potential clients to build relationships and work as a leader of the bid team.


Requirements:


  • Successful background controlling large-value projects or a number of lesser projects at one time.
  • Experience in developing collaborative working environments which produce high-performing teams.
  • Develop knowledge and experience of undertaking projects as the Principal Contractor.
  • Excellent financial awareness and understanding of the need to adhere to strict timetables to maximise profits and have the ability to identify potential problems and resolve them at an early stage.
  • Drive, excellent people management, and team-working skills.
