London, Greater London, United Kingdom Rothesay Group Full time

About Us

Rothesay Life is the UK's largest pensions insurance specialist, dedicated to providing excellence in customer service and prudent underwriting. We secure the pensions of over 930,000 people and pay out approximately £200 million in pension payments each month.

We occupy a unique position at the intersection of finance, markets, maths, computer science, and programming. Our team works closely with traders, sales professionals, and banking experts to create financial products, advise clients on transactions, and identify market opportunities.

Our quantitative analysts focus on pricing and risk management of complex transactions, including pension fund buyout trades, exotic assets, and derivatives. We are seeking someone who can develop cutting-edge analytics and implement production-quality pricing systems.

In this role, you will work closely with our traders and structuring teams to analyse trades and asset origination opportunities for execution and ongoing measurement and management. This emphasis on advanced financial mathematics and a highly analytical approach distinguishes us from many competitors.

The successful candidate's initial projects will be focused on improving the pricing and risk management of Rothesay's assets, including fixed income bonds, commercial real estate loans, residential mortgages, and equity release mortgage securitisations. These projects will give you valuable insights into industry-leading techniques and the opportunity to make hands-on contributions to porting these activities to Project Quest.

What We Offer
  • A competitive salary of approximately £60,000 - £80,000 per year.
  • Opportunities for career growth and professional development.
  • A dynamic and inclusive work environment.
  • A comprehensive benefits package.
