About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Pensions Audit Director to join our team at BDO UK. As a key member of our audit team, you will be responsible for leading audits of pension schemes and providing expert advice to clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead audits of pension schemes, ensuring high-quality work and timely delivery
  • Provide expert advice to clients on pension scheme audits and regulatory requirements
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients and colleagues
  • Contribute to the development of our audit methodology and procedures
  • Manage and mentor junior team members
Requirements
  • ACA/ACA/ICAS qualified or overseas equivalent
  • Previous experience of managing people and leading audits
  • Good working knowledge of UK and International GAAS, IFRS, UK GAAP and Financial Reporting requirements
  • Working knowledge of financial products, firm services, issues regarding advice and regulation and compliance, including anti-money laundering
  • Experience of systems/controls testing as well as substantive auditing, including consolidations, group audits, statutory accounts and disclosures
  • Project Management experience
