**About the Role**
We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Director of Engineering to lead our technical vision and strategy within the Tezos ecosystem. As a key member of our leadership team, you will oversee the engineering function, driving innovation, and ensuring the robust development of our blockchain technology.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide strategic direction and mentorship to foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and accountability across the engineering function.
- Define and execute the engineering strategy in alignment with the Tezos Roadmap and objectives.
- Champion delivery focus and general operational and executional excellence while being rigorously customer-centric.
- Stay on top of emerging technologies and trends within the blockchain and cryptocurrency space, selecting technologies and tools to optimize performance and scalability.
- Collaborate closely with other senior leaders, including Product, Marketing, and Commercial, to foster strong cross-functional partnerships in the delivery of high-quality solutions.
- Establish and enforce data-driven quality standards and best practices for software development, including code reviews, testing, and performance monitoring.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to optimize development processes, tools, and methodologies.
- Own the management of resources, budgets, and timelines effectively.
Requirements
- Strong technical background with extensive experience as a software engineer building complex solutions.
- Proven track record of success as a manager of managers.
- Experience leading large-scale complex projects concurrently with the ability to prioritize effectively and deliver high-quality solutions within deadlines.
- Prior experience working with Blockchain technology or an in-depth interest/understanding of it.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively as part of the senior leadership team.
