This role is an exciting opportunity to join our dedicated Safeguarding team at St George's Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust, where you will play a vital part in protecting adults at risk of harm.
As a Safeguarding Practitioner/Clinical Nurse Specialist, you will provide expert advice, training, and support to our organisation, promoting the development of local provision to meet the legislative requirements of the Care Act and associated NHS and Trust Safeguarding guidance and policies.
You will work closely with our multidisciplinary team to ensure patients receive the highest standard of care and are protected from abuse and neglect.
Key responsibilities include:
- Providing safeguarding advice, training, and support to our organisation.
- Contribution to the management and coordination of the hospital adult safeguarding response.
- Supporting wards and departments to facilitate safe discharge and ensure people receive adequate support.
- Responding to concerns around hospital care and treatment where adult safeguarding input may be required.
- Delivering training to staff on adult safeguarding and MCA.
- Contributing to learning and strategic development within the organisation around adult safeguarding.
We are looking for an experienced and skilled individual who is passionate about safeguarding adults and has a strong understanding of the Mental Capacity Act 2005 and Deprivation of Liberty Safeguards.
You will be able to work autonomously, manage complex cases, and communicate effectively with patients, families, and multidisciplinary teams.
As a Clinical Nurse Specialist, you will have the opportunity to develop your skills and expertise in adult safeguarding and contribute to the development of our organisation's safeguarding strategy.
