Job Title: Admissions Team Leader

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Admissions Team Leader to join our team at Barts Health NHS Trust. As a key member of our admissions department, you will be responsible for leading a team of schedulers and coordinators to ensure the smooth and efficient flow of patients through our clinical pathways.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Lead a team of schedulers and coordinators to ensure the efficient and effective management of patient pathways
  • Develop and implement efficient systems of work to ensure good communication, choice, and a personal and responsive service for patients
  • Work closely with the Scheduling Delivery Manager and other stakeholders to ensure the effective coordination of patient pathways
  • Provide administrative support to the Daily Ops meeting and theatre planning meeting
  • Manage day-to-day activities and staff members, ensuring high-quality care for patients within all specialties

Requirements:

  • Experience of working in a busy admissions department, preferably in a hospital setting
  • Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a team
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with colleagues and stakeholders
  • Ability to work under pressure and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines
  • Knowledge of national targets and policies related to patient pathways, including the 18-week referral to treatment rules
