Job Title: Laboratory Technician

Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled Laboratory Technician to join our team at Gardline Limited, a part of the Boskalis group of companies. As a Laboratory Technician, you will be responsible for managing and testing soil samples in our busy laboratory environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Take receipt of samples, check against proforma, and book into the Laboratory system.
  • Carry out sub-sampling in accordance with test schedules and logging in accordance with relevant standards.
  • Become competent in basic lab testing, including moisture content, PSD sedimentation, plasticity index, and particle density.
  • Understand the importance of sample handling and storage in accordance with ASTM and ISO standards.

Requirements:

  • A level standard in Chemistry or Geology or related subject (desirable).
  • Ability to become familiar with testing procedures and standards.
  • Experience working in a laboratory environment (desirable).
  • A good command of written and spoken English.
