About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate individual to join our team as a Book Service Volunteer. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional support to patients and visitors at our Weston General Hospital site.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide a warm welcome and support to patients and visitors, ensuring they feel comfortable and at ease.
  • Update patients with waiting times, ensuring they are informed and aware of their appointment schedule.
  • Signpost patients to other support and services as required, providing them with the necessary information and resources.
  • Restock resources, such as cups, leaflets, and activity packs, to ensure a smooth and efficient service.
  • Keep patients company, engaging in conversation and utilizing resources where available, to provide a sense of comfort and companionship.
  • Provide light refreshments, where agreed with the Trust Division, to enhance the patient experience.
