About the Apprenticeship

The Product Development Data Sciences team in Welwyn Garden City is seeking a high-calibre apprentice to join our team to contribute to the development of our medicines. As a Data Science Apprentice, you will work on analysing, reporting, and submitting clinical trial patient data. You will use your data science and technical skills to contribute to the success of data science and insights generation at Roche, working across diverse areas from data governance to data engineering and visualisation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide analytical and programming expertise for the reporting and analysis of clinical trials and related submissions to Health Authorities
  • Use R, SAS, Python, and other programming languages to manipulate and analyse various data types related to clinical trials
  • Write reusable functions and packages to transform, organise, and analyse healthcare data
  • Contribute to the development of our medicines by analysing and reporting clinical trial patient data

Requirements

  • BSc with a numerate component
  • Sufficient competency in Maths and a relevant programming language (R, SAS, Python, etc.)
  • Influential and confident communicator
  • Fluency in written and spoken English
  • Ability to work across multiple cultures and countries
