About the Apprenticeship

We are seeking a highly skilled Data Science Apprentice to join our Product Development Data Sciences team in Welwyn Garden City. As a Data Science Apprentice, you will contribute to the development of our medicines by analyzing, reporting, and submitting clinical trial patient data.

Key Responsibilities
  • Use data science and technical skills to contribute to the success of data science and insights generation at Roche.
  • Work across diverse areas, including data management, governance, acquisition, engineering, visualization, integration, analysis, and privacy.
  • Develop and implement data-driven solutions to aid the collection, database, and analysis of clinical data for medicines in Roche's diverse pipeline.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver data and insights that support the development of new medicines.
Requirements
  • BSc degree with a numerate component.
  • Sufficient competency in Maths and a relevant programming language (R, SAS, Python, etc.).
  • Influential and confident communicator.
  • Fluency in written and spoken English.
  • Ability to work across multiple cultures and countries.
  • Willingness to travel as required.
What You Could Be Working On
  • Delivering reliable analytics to enable Roche's commitment to patients.
  • Providing analytical and programming expertise and/or leadership support for the reporting and analysis of clinical trials and related submissions to Health Authorities.
  • Using R or SAS, Python, and/or other programming languages to write reusable functions and packages.
  • Manipulating and analyzing various data types related to clinical trials, including digital health, genomic, and biomarkers.
  • Transforming, organizing, and analyzing healthcare data.
