As a Principal Dams and Reservoirs Engineer at AtkinsRéalis, you will play a vital role in shaping the future of our cities and environments. Your expertise will be instrumental in delivering critical UK infrastructure projects, working on iconic engineering projects both at home and abroad.

We specialise in all aspects of dams and reservoir engineering, operating across multiple sectors such as Water, Aviation, Energy, and Cities & Development. Our commitment to delivering high-quality engineering solutions spans the entire project lifecycle, from client-side support to construction phases.

We currently have opportunities in our Epsom, Bristol, Swansea, Manchester, and Glasgow offices. If you're passionate about this industry and want to be part of a talented team, we'd love to discuss this opportunity with you.

Your Key Responsibilities:

  1. Lead a team to undertake technical design work following relevant design standards and codes.
  2. Prepare briefs, scopes of work, and input into bid proposals.
  3. Successfully manage time and budgets to key project milestones and programmes.
  4. Work closely with UK and overseas teams to deliver integrated design solutions.
  5. Adhere to quality assurance standards in design.

Your Requirements:

  1. Chartered Civil Engineer with a strong background in hydraulic and/or geotechnical engineering.
  2. Interest in developing into the role of Reservoir Supervising Engineer.
  3. Experience in leading design delivery, including multidisciplinary design.
  4. Sound knowledge of current UK design standards, guidance, and working practices, including the Reservoirs Act.
