Hertfordshire, United Kingdom ASDA Opticians Full time
About the Role

To be employed in this position, you must be at least 18 years old and pass an enhanced safeguarding check.

Our stores operate around the clock, seven days a week. This presents a wide range of shift patterns, making it ideal for those seeking flexible working arrangements to suit their lifestyle. We will work with you to schedule your shifts, but late and weekend working are requirements of this role, and we may need to adapt your work schedule as necessary.

Our in-store Opticians are extremely popular among our customers, who expect the same warmth and friendliness they experience elsewhere in the store. Additionally, you will be expected to confidently and competently discuss personal ocular health issues, resolve customer problems efficiently, and provide recommendations on products.

You will be responsible for preparing patients for eye examinations, explaining each stage of the eye test, conducting pre-screening examinations, and booking appointments for customers. You will also be responsible for dispensing spectacles and contact lenses, handling repairs and adjustments, and ensuring that stock has been received from suppliers.

We will provide comprehensive training and support to help you develop the skills needed to excel in this role, including learning how to dispense glasses and contact lenses, manage repairs and adjustments, and teach contact lens insertion and removal techniques.

About You
  • Naturally friendly and highly organized individuals who are eager to contribute to a team and deliver exceptional results.
  • Proficient computer skills, attention to detail, and excellent communication skills when interacting with customers.
  • Able to think critically and solve problems effectively, as well as being confident when working with numbers.

Passionate about providing outstanding customer service and committed to delivering a high-quality healthcare experience for every individual who walks through our doors.
