The Role

NHS Lanarkshire is seeking a Clinical Support Worker to join their team at University Hospital Hairmyres. As part of a multidisciplinary team, the successful candidate will carry out care duties for patients, in support of a registered nurse, and will regularly work unsupervised.

The ideal candidate will have a SVQ III in healthcare, or equivalent experience working within a caring environment/role. They will also possess effective written and verbal communication skills, and the ability to carry out assigned patient care tasks effectively within a busy environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Carry out care duties for patients, in support of a registered nurse
  • Work regularly unsupervised as part of a multidisciplinary team
  • Carry out assigned patient care tasks effectively within a busy environment

Requirements:

  • SVQ III in healthcare, or equivalent experience working within a caring environment/role
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to carry out assigned patient care tasks effectively within a busy environment
