About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Motor Claims Engineer to join our team at Hastings Direct. As a key member of our claims team, you will be responsible for providing expert advice and guidance on motor claims, ensuring that our customers receive the best possible service.

Key Responsibilities
  • Act as a subject matter expert on vehicle and engineering matters, providing support and guidance to colleagues and stakeholders.
  • Investigate and resolve complex motor claims, ensuring that our customers receive fair and timely outcomes.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with external engineering assessors, suppliers, and stakeholders.
  • Manage and oversee the use of independent engineering services across claims, identifying opportunities to improve efficiency and reduce costs.
  • Manage work allocation and distribution, ensuring that claims are handled efficiently and effectively.
Requirements
  • Technical claims experience within engineering or repair management, with a strong understanding of the motor industry.
  • Experience using computer estimating systems and a proven ability to develop and maintain strong working relationships.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
