We are seeking a highly experienced Project Director to lead the delivery of the Bridgwater Tidal Barrier project. This exciting opportunity will enable you to make a significant impact on the environment and communities, while developing strong partnerships and contributing to the success of the Environment Agency.

About the Role

The successful candidate will have experience in project leadership and contract management, ideally within engineering, construction, landscape, environment and/or flood & coastal risk management. You will be responsible for leading multi-disciplinary teams to deliver results on large, technically challenging projects using collaborative behaviours.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop a resilient network of relationships with internal and external stakeholders, delivery partners, statutory authorities, landowners, and local communities.
  • Provide excellent communication and stakeholder management skills to manage reputational and political issues.
  • Work closely with Environment Agency senior leadership teams, project teams, and delivery partners to deliver the project.
