About the Role

We are seeking talented engineers to join our dynamic team in Stoke on Trent. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for designing, deploying, and managing cloud infrastructure, automating workflows, ensuring cost optimization, and maintaining cloud security best practices.

Key Responsibilities

Cloud Engineering: Design and implement cloud infrastructure solutions, ensuring high availability, scalability, and security.

Infrastructure Engineering: Design, implement, and maintain enterprise-level IT infrastructure, ensuring high availability, scalability, and security.

Network Engineering: Install, configure, and manage networking hardware and software, as well as troubleshoot network issues and optimize performance.

Security Operations Centre (SOC) Engineering: Monitor and respond to security incidents, perform vulnerability assessments, and implement cybersecurity best practices.

Virtualization Engineering: Manage and optimize virtual environments, including VMware, Hyper-V, or other cloud-based systems.

2nd Line Support: Provide advanced technical support to resolve escalated issues, manage tickets, and collaborate with other teams for complex troubleshooting.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in one or more of the following areas: Infrastructure, Networking, SOC, Virtualization, or IT Support (2nd/3rd Line).
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Familiarity with relevant technologies such as Cisco, Microsoft, VMware, Linux, or security tools (SIEM, IDS/IPS).
  • Certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, MCSA, MCSE, VMware Certified Professional, or similar are a plus.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

Clearance Requirements

UKSV clearance is required for this position. Candidates must possess or be eligible to obtain SC clearance, with a view to obtaining UK Developed Vetting (DV) clearance as required.
