Advocacy Support Professional

Job Description:
As a Domestic Violence Specialist at Supporting Futures Consulting Ltd, you will play a vital role in supporting adults who have experienced domestic and/or sexual abuse. You will provide advocacy services to clients who have been assessed as high-risk of serious harm or murder from a current partner, ex-partner, or family member.
Your Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement comprehensive safety plans to address and manage client risks while increasing their safety
- Deliver proactive support, guidance, and advocacy to enhance client outcomes
- Utilize the Merseyside Risk Indicator Toolkit (MeRIT) to assess client risk levels
- Prioritize referrals to MARAC, representing clients at bi-monthly meetings and collaborating with partner agencies to ensure seamless communication and action completion
- Maintain a deep understanding of client needs, ensuring they are fully aware of available options and resources, including civil, criminal, legal, and housing support
- Cultivate effective relationships with clients, empowering them to make informed choices about their lives
Requirements:
- Demonstrated expertise in advocating for victims of domestic violence
- In-depth knowledge of child protection, safeguarding, safety planning, risk assessments, and Criminal and Civil Justice Systems
- Previous experience in IDVA or IDSVA roles or equivalent case management in a high-risk setting
- Established track record of successfully managing complex caseloads within a community-based context
Estimated Salary: £34,000 - £38,400 per annum based on 25 hours/week
