About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Property Lawyer to join our team in Hastings, East Sussex. As a key member of our Conveyancing Team, you will be responsible for managing a caseload of residential property transactions from instruction to completion.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage a day-to-day caseload of conveyancing transactions, ensuring due diligence and efficient processing.
  • Use our Online Management System (OMS) to progress cases efficiently and meet set timescales.
  • Accountable for all dealings with other lawyers and legal aspects on property transactions.
  • Assess risk on every transaction, making pragmatic decisions and providing appropriate legal advice.
  • Draft legal documents, including Standard Precedent Letters, Contract Packs, Exchange Letters, Freehold AP1s, and Freeform Letters.
  • Post-Completion tasks, including preparing and sending applications to the Land Registry, Stamp Duty Land Tax submissions, file closures, and checking account ledgers.
Requirements
  • 2+ years of relevant experience in property law.
  • Knowledge and experience of Microsoft Office, especially Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Good literacy and computer skills, especially Word and Excel.
  • Strong organisation, planning, problem-solving, and multi-tasking skills.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work alone or within a team.
