Automotive Center Director

Job Summary:
The Automotive Center Manager is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the Family Resource Center in accordance with NEKCA Core Values, Head Start/Early Head Start Performance Standards, and Head Start Strategic plan. This role requires strong leadership qualities, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with the Director, Associate Directors, and Content Area Managers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Leadership and Management: Lead a work culture that fosters NEKCA's Core Values and commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion. Create a welcoming and inviting space for children, families, staff, and community partners.
- Operations and Administration: Oversee day-to-day operations of the center, including facility management, staff supervision, and community engagement.
- Program Development and Implementation: Develop and implement Individual Health Plans, promote parent involvement, and contribute to data collection and analysis.
- Staff Support and Development: Provide support and supervision to center staff, facilitate the hiring process, and ensure new staff and volunteers complete orientation and training activities.
Requirements:
- Minimum of Associate's Degree in early childhood or human development/child development. Bachelor's Degree preferred.
- Commitment to ongoing professional development.
- Valid driver's license and access to dependable transportation.
Working Conditions:
Employees in this position work primarily in an office environment with moderate noise levels and controlled temperature conditions. The work involves sitting for extended periods, using a computer, and other office equipment, and may require occasional lifting of up to 25 pounds.
