Technical Lead

We are seeking a highly experienced Discipline Lead to join our team at Egis Industrie UK. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for providing technical expertise and support for ongoing EPR design projects, particularly Hinkley Point C and Sizewell C.
Key Responsibilities- Technical Leadership: Act as a technical leader for ongoing EPR design projects, providing technical support and guidance to ensure successful project delivery.
- Collaboration and Coordination: Coordinate with the Technical Directorate in France to ensure overall consistency in sharing experiences, tools, skills, and technical expertise.
- Team Development: Mentor new arrivals in the agency, sharing your knowledge and expertise to enhance their skills and performance.
- Project Management: Conduct internal technical seminars to enhance the skills of the team and assist the sales team and head of the UK branch in seeking new projects and clients.
- Market Promotion: Promote Egis' technical expertise in the market and to potential clients in the UK, highlighting our capabilities and services.
- Skills Development: Develop a skills development plan for the UK agency team, identifying areas for improvement and implementing training programs to enhance their skills and knowledge.
- Industry Engagement: Maintain relationships with institutes and technical associations such as the Institution of Civil Engineers (ICE) and the Office for Nuclear Regulation (ONR) in the UK, staying updated with industry advancements and best practices.
- Innovation and Technology: Ability to propose innovative solutions using data and Building Information Modeling (BIM) technologies to improve design and construction processes.
- Academic Background: A strong academic background with a Higher education degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
- Technical Expertise: Proven experience of acting as technical lead in Civil & Structural Engineering, preferably in the Nuclear sector, with excellent technical expertise in Civil Engineering, including in-depth knowledge of current standards and practices.
- Industry Experience: Significant experience in the field of Nuclear Civil Engineering is highly advantageous, ideally in the UK, including on EPR design projects.
- Communication and Coordination: Excellent coordination and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with multicultural and multidisciplinary teams.
- Project Management: Project management experience and understanding of the needs and approaches to the engineering consultancy and design markets, including relationships with clients, work planning and commercial management.
- ICE Chartered Status: Good knowledge of the UK Nuclear market and ICE chartered status.
