About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced Driver Operations Manager to join our team at Warburtons Ltd. As a key member of our management team, you will be responsible for engaging and motivating a skilled team of Team Managers, managing budgets, and defining and implementing driver operations strategy.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage a team of Driver Operations Team Managers who oversee around 70 Class 2 Drivers across 40 routes and 40 Class 1 Primary Drivers.
- Work with the Warehouse and Distribution management teams on a daily basis, coordinating collections and deliveries of our products into our customers, as well as from third-party suppliers and into our other depots and sites across the UK.
- Monitor and investigate deliveries to ensure they are made on time and in full, while maintaining customer service standards.
- Identify and drive a culture of continuous improvement, with a focus on budget management and fleet maintenance in accordance with Company policy, health & safety, and statutory and legal requirements.
- Develop and maintain a team of skilled drivers who can deliver products safely, efficiently, and on time.
Requirements:
- Working knowledge and experience of distribution management.
- Good working knowledge of SAP, specifically the ERP module.
- Prior use of distribution systems, processes, and Operator Licence/Tachograph/WTD regulations.
- Transport Management CPC.
