Senior Care Assistant Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Senior Care Assistant to join our team at Springcare Care Homes Ltd. As a Senior Care Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care to our residents, promoting their independence, dignity, and well-being.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support residents with personal care, including bathing, dressing, and toileting
  • Administer medication as prescribed by healthcare professionals
  • Maintain accurate records of resident care and medication administration
  • Lead a team of care assistants and work closely with the nurse in charge to ensure seamless care delivery
  • Apply dressings and take samples as required
  • Communicate effectively with external healthcare professionals, including doctors and district nurses
Requirements:
  • Minimum of a Level 3 qualification in Health and Social Care
  • Experience in administering medication and providing care to vulnerable adults
  • Proven leadership skills and ability to motivate and inspire a team
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
