About the Role

We are seeking a highly experienced and visionary Director to lead our Women's Empowerment and Social Justice Programme. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for developing and implementing a comprehensive strategy to advance women's rights and social justice globally.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement a strategic plan to advance women's empowerment and social justice, aligned with Oak Foundation's mission and values.
  • Lead and manage a diverse team of professionals, providing guidance and support to ensure the successful delivery of programme objectives.
  • Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including government agencies, NGOs, and private sector partners, to leverage resources and expertise.
  • Develop and manage a USD 32 million grant portfolio, ensuring effective grant-making and programme implementation.
  • Represent Oak Foundation externally, promoting our work and values to a range of audiences, including media, policymakers, and civil society leaders.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest research, trends, and best practices in women's empowerment and social justice, applying this knowledge to inform programme design and implementation.
Requirements
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in a senior leadership role, with a proven track record of advancing women's rights and social justice.
  • Strong understanding of the social justice sector, including key issues, trends, and stakeholders.
  • Excellent leadership and management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a diverse team.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing multiple tasks and deadlines.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and strategically.
