Job Description

We are seeking a motivated individual to join our team as an Education Support Worker, working in SEND schools in Carlisle. The successful candidate will be flexible, communicative, and caring, with a passion for supporting young people with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND).

The Role:

  • Work collaboratively with a team of support staff to assist pupils during lessons and group sessions.
  • Provide one-to-one and small group support to pupils.
  • Familiarise yourself with pupils' learning journals and document development milestones.
  • Contribute to sessions such as Music Therapy, Art Therapy, and Speech and Language.
  • Create a safe and inclusive learning environment, prioritising safeguarding practices.
  • Develop strong relationships with pupils and colleagues.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support teachers in delivering personalised lessons.
  • Assist with planning and preparation of resources.
  • Maintain accurate records of pupil progress.
  • Participate in training and professional development opportunities.

About the Salary:

The salary for this role is £22,000-£25,000 per annum, depending on experience, paid weekly.
