**Job Summary**

We are seeking an experienced professional to support the delivery of paying for care and direct payment support functions within Adult Social Care at East Riding of Yorkshire Council.

This role requires a good knowledge of adult services, including charging policies, as well as an in-depth understanding of DWP benefits. The successful candidate will also have demonstrable knowledge of direct payment support and experience in performance management, supervision, and coaching skills in a multi-functional team.

The ideal candidate will have excellent interpersonal and communication skills, be adaptable, and able to manage a varied and complex workload with minimal supervision. They will also have effective time management and good computer skills.

**Responsibilities**

  • To undertake financial assessments in respect of residential and non-residential services
  • To support service users in maximizing their income through welfare benefits
  • To provide support to the Community Wellbeing and Hospital Teams

**Requirements**

  • A good knowledge of adult services, including charging policies
  • An in-depth understanding of DWP benefits
  • Demonstrable knowledge of direct payment support
  • Experience in performance management, supervision, and coaching skills in a multi-functional team
