About the Role:

A&P Group is seeking a skilled Electrical Installation Specialist to join our team at Falmouth. As an Electrical Installation Specialist, you will play a crucial role in installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems on various marine vessels and within our facility.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems on marine vessels and within our facility.
  • Conduct inspections, diagnose electrical issues, and implement effective solutions to ensure the safety and functionality of electrical systems on both vessels and within the shipyard facilities.
  • Interpret electrical diagrams and technical specifications to plan and execute electrical installations and repairs accurately.
  • Collaborate with engineers, project managers, and other tradespeople within the shipyard to coordinate electrical work, ensuring timely completion of projects while adhering to safety standards and regulations.

Requirements:

  • You will have completed a recognized apprenticeship or vocational training in Electrical Engineering (e.g. NVQ level 3 or equivalent).
  • Proven experience as a Marine/Industrial Electrician or in a similar role working in shipyard environments and/or on marine vessels would be great.
  • You'll have strong knowledge of marine electrical systems, including wiring, lighting, communication systems, navigation equipment, and power generation systems.
  • You'll have excellent troubleshooting skills and the ability to diagnose and resolve electrical issues efficiently and effectively.
  • You'll be able to demonstrate excellent attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work.
  • You'll have excellent teamwork and communication skills, vital for success in the projects we deliver.
  • You'll need to be able to work in confined spaces, at heights, and in outdoor conditions.
