Electrical Engineer Opportunity at A&P Group

A&P Group, a leading provider of marine repair services, is seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to join our team at our Falmouth facility.

We are looking for a skilled Electrical Engineer with a strong background in marine electrical systems to install, maintain, and repair electrical systems on marine vessels and within our facility.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems on marine vessels and within our facility.
  • Conduct inspections, diagnose electrical issues, and implement effective solutions to ensure the safety and functionality of electrical systems.
  • Interpret electrical diagrams and technical specifications to plan and execute electrical installations and repairs accurately.
  • Collaborate with engineers, project managers, and other tradespeople to coordinate electrical work and ensure timely completion of projects.

Requirements:

  • Recognised apprenticeship or vocational training in Electrical Engineering (e.g. NVQ level 3 or equivalent).
  • Proven experience as a Marine/Industrial Electrician or in a similar role working in shipyard environments and/or on marine vessels.
  • Strong knowledge of marine electrical systems, including wiring, lighting, communication systems, navigation equipment, and power generation systems.
  • Excellent troubleshooting skills and the ability to diagnose and resolve electrical issues efficiently and effectively.
  • Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work.
  • Excellent teamwork and communication skills, vital for success in the projects we deliver.
  • Ability to work in confined spaces, at heights, and in outdoor conditions.
