Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and empathetic Primary SEN Teaching Assistant to support a child with an EHCP who has social and emotional needs in our Year 2 class at Westblatchington.

This role involves providing one-to-one support to the child, assisting in setting strategies to support their social and emotional development, working closely with the class teacher and SENCO to adapt lessons and activities, and creating a positive and inclusive atmosphere where the child feels safe and encouraged to learn.

As a Primary SEN Teaching Assistant, you will work collaboratively with parents and professionals to monitor and report on the child's progress. You will also be responsible for maintaining accurate records and contributing to the development of the child's individual education plan.

The ideal candidate will have experience working with children with social and emotional needs, a patient and understanding approach, and excellent communication skills. A positive attitude and a genuine passion for supporting children's learning and development are essential.

The estimated salary for this role is £25,000 - £30,000 per annum, depending on experience.
