Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Plant and Pump Engineer to join our team at First Military Recruitment Ltd. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for servicing, call outs, and problem-solving on Sewage Treatment Plants, Sewage Pumps, and Wastewater systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Servicing and Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance and repairs on Sewage Treatment Plants, Sewage Pumps, and Wastewater systems to ensure optimal performance and efficiency.
  • Problem-Solving: Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues related to electrical and mechanical elements of the systems.
  • Communication and Liaison: Liaise with the scheduling team and/or line manager on a daily basis, reporting any problems with work and keeping the customer updated.
  • Quality Control: Provide feedback on parts used or works to be quoted in line with procedures.
  • Inventory Management: Ensure your van stock is up to date with relevant parts and tools.
  • Training and Development: Carry out on-the-job training as directed by your line manager.
  • Customer Interaction: Liaise with customers on site during jobs.
  • Reporting and Documentation: Use a mobile app to know your daily schedule and complete comprehensive reports following each site attendance.

Requirements:

  • Experience: At least 2 years of experience working in the sewage treatment industry or a similar engineering role.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively via mobile as the job role is mainly remote.
  • Technical Skills: Ability to fault find in a range of demanding environments.
  • Teamwork and Independence: A can-do attitude and team player with the ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Problem-Solving and Attention to Detail: Excellent problem-solving and attention to detail with the ability to work in confined spaces.
  • Qualifications: Qualifications in either mechanical or electrical disciplines, with 17th, 18th, or 19th edition electrical qualifications and a CSCS card being desirable.
  • Driving License: A full UK driving license is essential.
