Behaviour Support Specialist

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Behaviour Support Worker to join our team at Beam ABA Services. As a Behaviour Support Worker, you will play a vital role in supporting young adults with autism and learning disabilities in their daily lives.
About the RoleAs a Behaviour Support Worker, you will be responsible for implementing person-centred programmes utilising Applied Behaviour Analysis and Positive Behaviour Support best practice. You will work closely with our team to support service users in developing functional skills, communication systems, and social skills. Your role will also involve monitoring and recording data, supporting individuals during times of crisis, and promoting safeguarding and wellbeing.
Requirements- 1 year of applied experience working with individuals with a diagnosis of learning disability and/or autism
- Experience of supporting individuals who are non-verbal, with experience of promoting alternative modes of communication
- Clean driver's license
- Undergraduate Degree in Psychology, Counselling, Social Work, or related field
- 1+ year of applied experience working with special needs population
- Experience of managing challenging behaviour
- Experience utilising ABA methodology
- Competitive hourly rate of £12.25-£14 depending on qualifications and experience
- Immediate salary for full-time staff from £22,295- £25,480 based on 35 hour working week - overtime hours available
- 30 days' paid holiday per year pro-rata plus full training
