We are seeking a dedicated and versatile individual to join our team at HMP Bure, a Cat C & male prison. As a Facilities Maintenance Specialist, you will have the opportunity to work alongside experienced and passionate colleagues who vary from Plumbers, Electricians, Carpenters, Painters, to Cleaners, and Administrators, and others, who are all dedicated to making a positive difference, providing a safe and secure environment for all.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the maintenance and repair of prison facilities
- Provide escort services for prisoners and staff
- Work collaboratively with the facilities management team to ensure the smooth operation of the prison
- Use hand and power tools to complete tasks
- Contribute to a safe and secure environment
Requirements:
- Experience of working in a prison environment
- Experience of using hand and power tools
- Previous experience of working within a building fabric / Hard FM environment
- Up to date First Aid at Work Qualification
- Level 2 qualification in English and Maths
- Good Health & Safety knowledge
- Excellent organisational, time management and people skills
