Job Role:

As a multi-skilled tradesperson, you will be responsible for providing maintenance and repair services to the facilities at HMP Bure. This will include tasks such as plumbing, electrical work, and general maintenance.

Location:

HMP Bure is a Cat C & male prison, and as a member of the facilities maintenance team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth and safe operation of the prison.

Salary:

The salary for this position is £24,513.46 per annum.

Contract:

This is a full-time permanent position, with a shit working pattern on weekends.

We are seeking a dedicated and versatile individual who can work alongside facilities management professionals to provide a safe and secure environment for prisoners and staff alike.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Providing maintenance and repair services to the facilities at HMP Bure
  • Working alongside facilities management professionals to ensure the smooth and safe operation of the prison
  • Using skills and experience to create a better future for others
  • Contributing to a team that promotes rehabilitation and positive change

Requirements:

  • Experience of working in a prison environment
  • Experience of using hand and power tools
  • Previous experience of working within a building fabric / Hard FM environment
  • Up to date First Aid at Work Qualification
  • Level 2 qualification in English and Maths
  • Good Health & Safety knowledge
