Role Overview

We are seeking a skilled Financial Systems Data Specialist to join our team in Edinburgh. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting the implementation of data warehouse projects, focusing on financial data.

Job Description

This is a fixed-term position until the end of 2024 and is project-related. As a Financial Systems Data Specialist, you will work closely with Private Markets Operations teams worldwide, Investment teams, external consultants, and other relevant teams to achieve excellent service, scalability, efficiency, and global consistency.

Main Responsibilities
  • Support data warehouse project implementation, focusing on financial data.
  • Provide project support for generic data and interface management/reconciliation.
  • Liaise with local service providers to ensure deliverables are understood and implemented efficiently.
  • Collaborate with Fund Controllers to design, test, and implement reports.
  • Work with Fund Controllers to ensure financial reporting meets expectations and resolve issues where necessary.
  • Contribute to multi-functional working group meetings and provide input from Real Estate operations teams.
  • Identify opportunities for consolidating reports.
Fund Controller Support
  • Assist with oversight of periodic financial reporting, including coordination and control of Funds' annual audit.
  • Maintain oversight and ensure fund-level and asset/SPV level transactions are controlled, approved, and recorded accurately.
  • Oversee and review financial information for presentations to investors.
  • Prepare bespoke and regulatory reporting within tight deadlines.
  • Ensure real estate products, funds, and segregated accounts are supported effectively.
Skills and Qualifications
  • Experience in systems implementation, data mapping/migration projects.
  • Advanced Excel skills and financial modelling experience.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of financial accounting applied in a commercial context.
  • Working knowledge of IFRS and Luxembourg GAAP.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience with private markets fund wrappers (e.g., Luxembourg RAIFs, Limited Partnerships, investment trusts).
  • Excellent English language skills (verbal and written), ideally German language skills too.
Our Offer

We offer a competitive salary range of £45,000 - £60,000 per annum, depending on experience, as well as a comprehensive benefits package, including 40 days' annual leave, a 16% employer pension contribution, private healthcare, and flexible benefits.
