The Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Registered Nurse to join our Cardiac Catheterisation Laboratory team at University Hospital Hairmyres. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will be responsible for assessing patient care needs and developing programmes of care, ensuring the delivery of high-quality care to patients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assess patient care needs and develop programmes of care
  • Implement and evaluate care programmes, ensuring high-quality patient care
  • Direct, coordinate, and supervise the work of other staff within the ward or department
  • Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to discuss patient care and develop care plans

Requirements:

  • Registered Nurse with valid NMC Registration
  • Excellent team working skills and ability to work using own initiative
  • Effective listening, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work with people and as part of a multidisciplinary team
  • Excellent time management skills
  • Working knowledge of basic information technology

Desirable Qualifications:

  • Experience of medical/surgical nursing within an acute hospital environment
  • Cardiac catheterisation laboratory experience
  • Critical care/invasive cardiology experience within CCU, ITU, or Theatre environment

Contract Type: Permanent, Full-time, 37 hours

Location and Working Pattern: This role will be based in Cardiac Cath Labs within University Hospital Hairmyres. Rotational shift pattern within Cardiology - rotate from day shifts onto night shift.
