Voltalia UK is seeking a highly skilled and experienced General Legal Counsel to join our HR & Corporate Functions business line. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing legal advice and support to our UK business lines, including managing regulatory matters, drafting and negotiating commercial agreements, and supporting the preparation and revision of documentation for public tenders.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in corporate and commercial law, with experience in M&A and project finance matters. They will be able to communicate effectively with colleagues, partners, and project stakeholders, and will have the ability to work independently and as part of a network with our international legal team.
The General Legal Counsel will be responsible for:
- Providing legal advice on licensing and developing IPP projects, and supporting new projects' development and new collaborations;
- Creating and maintaining a set of template contracts and other legal documents ready for use by the teams;
- Following up on all litigation cases in the UK and reporting on them to the Head of Legal in Paris;
- Being the main point of contact for the Group Compliance Manager in the UK on anti-corruption and GDPR, whistleblowing, and issues of concern;
The successful candidate will be a Qualified Solicitor with at least 5 years of experience in similar functions, either in law firms or companies. Fluency in English is required, with French language considered a plus.
