About the Role

Elysium Healthcare is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Assistant Activities Co-ordinator to join our team at Stanley House. As an Assistant Activities Co-ordinator, you will play a vital role in creating an activity-based culture that promotes social, recreational, and leisure activities for our service users.

Key Responsibilities

  • Co-ordinate social and recreational activities for service users within a secure environment, ensuring their safety and well-being.
  • Obtain information from service users regarding their social and recreational interests, and use this information to plan and implement activities that meet their needs.
  • Observe and record the behaviour, ability, and response of service users, and report back to the team using verbal and written communications.
  • Document observations and progress in the service user's clinical notes, under supervision.
  • Fulfill the security requirements of the service, adhering to policies, guidelines, and procedures.
  • Conduct basic risk assessments on a daily basis to ensure the safety of individuals and groups of service users.
  • Ensure that health and safety, welfare, and security standards are maintained for service users, staff, and visitors.
  • Utilize effective coordination and resource management skills to deliver activities and programs.

Requirements

  • Basic group work skills and the ability to communicate effectively within a team-based framework.
  • Minimum of 12 months experience within a mental health setting (desirable).
  • Initiative, motivation, and a solution-focused approach to problem-solving.
  • Good organizational skills and awareness of mental health and its impact on functioning.
  • Awareness of gender-specific needs and cultural needs of service users.
  • Full UK driver's license.
