About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Infrastructure Innovation Architect to join our Chief Engineer's Asset Intelligence and Innovation team at Severn Trent. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for driving transformative outcomes for our business, customers, and the environment through the development and implementation of AI/ML strategies.

Key Responsibilities

  • Craft and implement AI driven strategies to tackle both immediate and long-term challenges across water and wastewater management.
  • Develop and execute comprehensive AI and underpinning technology and data roadmaps that align with Severn Trent's business strategies.
  • Partner with business stakeholders to synchronize technology roadmaps with strategic planning, enhancing business capability maturity and value realization.
  • Define a dynamic innovation portfolio, prioritizing initiatives based on their strategic value and business impact.
  • Lead the discovery and assessment of future trends and emerging technologies that align with Severn Trent's strategic goals.
  • Establish and promote best practices for AI/ML development and deployment both internally across the organization and externally across the sector.
  • Foster robust relationships with stakeholders, academic institutions, government agencies, and industrial partners to drive collaboration and innovation.
  • Serve as a thought leader internally and within the sector by articulating complex technical concepts in an accessible manner to diverse audiences.
  • Present AI/ML strategies and insights to the executive team to inform decision-making.

What You'll Bring to the Role

We are looking for someone with a strong background in AI/ML solutions architecture, model development, and strategic planning. You will have the ability to craft and articulate long-term AI/ML strategies that drive innovation and efficiency. Additionally, you will have experience in engaging cross-functional teams, mentoring talent, and influencing senior stakeholders to adopt and invest in AI/ML initiatives.
