About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Teaching Assistant to join our team at a school in Richmond. As a Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting students with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND), particularly those with SEMH.

Responsibilities
  • Provide individualized support and assistance to students with SEND, focusing on their academic and personal development.
  • Assist in the implementation of EHCPs (Education, Health and Care Plans) to ensure students receive the necessary support.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment that promotes students' growth and independence.
  • Develop and deliver engaging activities to support students' learning and development.
Requirements
  • Relevant experience working with students with SEND, SEMH, and associated difficulties is highly desirable.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills to collaborate with teachers and other support staff.
  • A compassionate and patient approach to supporting students' individual needs.
  • Relevant qualifications or training in supporting individuals with SEND is an advantage.
  • Enhanced DBS clearance and experience with safeguarding processes.
  • Availability to work 5 days a week (8:30-15:30) during term time.
